Gig worker infra player Nia.one raises $2.4 M from Elevar Equity

Mumbai-based Nia.one , a gig worker infrastructure startup, has raised USD 2.4 million (INR 21.3 crore) from Elevar Equity.Founded in 2024 by Sachin Chhabra and Pushkar Raj, Nia.one connects gig workers with employers and offers essential services such as accommodation, meals, and upskilling programmes. Its AI-based platform, Rafiki, is designed to match gig workers with employers based on their skill sets and interests. Currently, Nia.one operates in over 50 cities, supporting more than 3,000 gig workers, with plans to expand this number to over 8,000.The startup plans to deploy the new funds to accelerate the setting up of its Nia.one hubs (Niadel) in key blue-collar employment corridors across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Pune. The capital will also be used to enhance its AI stack, Rafiki, and to hire talent.
