Goldi Solar raises over Rs.1,400-Cr led by Havells India
Surat-headquartered solar panel maker Goldi Solar , has raised INR 1,422 crore led by Havells India Ltd (INR 600 crore.) Other investors include Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha (INR 140 crore), along with Ambit Global Private Client, Shahi Exports, SRF Transnational Holdings, Karmav Real Estate Holdings LLP, NSFO Ventures LLP, Godwitt Construction, various high-net-worth individuals, institutional and strategic investors, and a few sportspersons.SBI Capital Markets Ltd advised on the capital infusion, with Saraf and Partners serving as company counsel.Founded in 2011 by Ishverbhai Dholakia, Goldi Solar is building large-scale solar cell manufacturing facilities in Gujarat and has 14.7 GW PV module capacity.The fresh funds will be used to expand its manufacturing capacity, strengthen backward integration into solar cell production, accelerate innovation in high-efficiency solar technologies, and broaden its go-to-market efforts.
