Goldman Sachs, others sell Sapphire Foods shares worth Rs.911-Cr; Goldman harvests 6.5x

Goldman Sachs has sold a 4.50% stake in publicly listed QSR restaurants operator Sapphire Foods India Ltd. Also, Sapphire Foods Mauritius Ltd (an entity controlled by Samara Capital, Creador Capital, TR Capital, NewQuest and other PE investors) has sold a 6.14% stake in the company. The total sales aggregate to INR 910.70 crore. Post the sale, Goldman Sachs owns a 5.27% stake and Sapphire Foods Mauritius Ltd a 31.90% stake in the company.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Jul 2015 and Aug 2021, Sapphire Foods India had raised over INR 2,000 crore from Goldman Sachs, Samara Capital, IDI Emerging Markets, CX Partners, Edelweiss Private Equity, NewQuest, TR Capital and Creador Capital.
