Govt’s Samridh scheme disburses Rs.94-Cr to 241 startups in 5 yrs
Minister of State (MoS) for IT Jitin Prasada has announced that the centre has disbursed INR 93.75 crore to 241 startups under the Startup Accelerator of MeitY for Product Innovation, Development, and Growth ( SAMRIDH ) scheme over the last five years. The IT ministry (MeitY) has onboarded 43 accelerators under this initiative, which have incubated 373 new-age tech ventures.Launched in 2021, the SAMRIDH program aims to accelerate about 300 startups across sectors such as health-tech, edtech, agri-tech, consumer-tech, fintech, SaaS, and sustainability, providing matching funding support up to INR 40 lakh per startup and INR 2 lakh per startup to accelerators.
