Green hydrogen maker Hygenco raises $105-M

Gurugram-based green hydrogen manufacturer Hygenco Green Energies Pvt. Ltd. has raised USD 105 M in a funding round, which includes a USD 50 M commitment from the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Other investors participating in this transaction include Siemens Financial Services, Clean Technology Fund, Frontier Opportunities Fund, and Fullerton Carbon Action Fund.Co-founded by Amit Bansal, Anshul Gupta, Ashish Gupta and others, Hygenco produces green hydrogen and green hydrogen derivatives, such as green ammonia. The company plans to use the new funds to support the development of multiple green hydrogen projects and to expand its production capabilities and supply chains.

Between Oct 2022 and Dec 2024, Hygenco had attracted about $ 31 M in equity and debt from Trifecta Capital and SBI Ventures.
