Grocery chain Sumosave Retail raises Rs.50-Cr
Kolkata-headquartered Sumosave Retail Ventures has raised INR 50 crore in a pre-Series B round led by 12 Flags Group, with participation from Stride Ventures, which provided venture debt.Founded in 2022, the company operates neighbourhood supermarkets across northern and eastern India, targeting middle and lower-middle-income consumers. The firm previously raised USD 3.3 million from Lightspeed and angel investors.Sumosavde plans to use the new funds to expand its store network and strengthen its supply chain. It aims to operate 500 stores by 2030.
