Health food startup The Whole Truth raises Rs.43-Cr from Sequoia, Matrix, Sauce.vc, others

Mumbai-based health food brand ‘The Whole Truth' (formerly ‘ And Nothing Else') has raised a Series A financing round of INR 42.6 crore (about USD 6 million) led by Sequoia Capital India (which has picked up a 10.37% stake), with participation from existing VC and angel investors. The round values the firm at INR 205 crore post-money. The Whole Truth has allotted 116,069 Series A Preference shares and 10 equity shares at an issue price of INR 3667.33 each. Sequoia has led the round with INR 21 crore whereas existing investors Matrix Partners and Sauce.vc have put in INR 13.5 and INR 5 crore, respectively. Udaan's co-founder Sujeet Kumar has invested INR 1 crore. Yatin Shah and Kyush Investments have put in INR 50 lakh each. Reckitt' senior vice president and BharatPe's co-founder Suhail Sameer (via OTP Venture) have invested INR 25 lakh each. The remaining amount has come from Ankush Gera, Dhvanil Rawal and Sahil Narang. Following the fundraise, the company's founder Shashank Mehta's stake has been diluted to 42.91%. The other co-founders Aditi Gupta and Samir Singh collectively own 4.42%. Matrix is the largest stakeholder among investors with 20.17%.
