Healthcare robotics startup Astrek raises Rs. 75-L

Astrek Innovations, a healthcare startup working on rehabilitation and assistive robotics, has raised INR 75 lakhs in a funding round led by IAN Fund. This raise will help the company to accelerate the development of their products, establish clinical trials, and enable early market tests. The Kannur, Kerala-based company is incubated by CIE, IIIT Hyderabad and supported by Kerala StartUp Mission (KSUM). Astrek is also looking at hiring new talent. Besides expanding to multiple verticals, the company will also be working on developing an efficient R&D division. Astrek has been working on an exoskeleton-based wearable suit, Unik Exo, since its inception in September 2018. The company aims to aid in rehabilitation and provide assistance to people suffering from or living with lower limb disabilities.
