Home cooking startup Cookd raises Rs.16-Cr led by Spring Marketing Capital
Chennai-based home-cooking start-up Cookd has raised INR 16 crore in a Pre-Series A Round, led by Spring Marketing Capital. The round also saw participation from Eternal Capital, Sun Icon Ventures, and PeerCheque.The new funds will be used to expand the firm’s presence in Tamil Nadu and to enter Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The funds will also be used to build new categories of cooking products.Founded in 2020, Aathitiyan VS, Cookd offers a range of products ranging from biryani kits, masalas, cooking pastes, and ready-to-use recipe kits. It also offers online videos and claims to have over 6 million followers across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
In Nov 2021, Cookd had raised funding from Kerala Angel Network, Konglo Ventures and others.
