Home-made food deliverer Mealawe raises $1-M
Pune-based food-tech startup Mealawe has raised USD 1 million from a network of Shark Tank founders and angel investors associated with companies such as Goldman Sachs and Oracle.Founded in 2022 by Rupesh Kumar, Pratap Haldar and Nikhil Jain, Mealawe operates a mobile app that connects home chefs with customers to provide homemade-style meals. It is currently operational in Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kota and plans to expand into 14 cities over the next 10-12 months, aiming to deliver 1 million meals per month.The proceeds will be used to scale operations by expanding women-led kitchens, strengthening corporate cafeteria solutions, and deepening partnerships for organic ingredient sourcing.
