Hospital supply chain mgmt co Aknamed acquired by PharmEasy for $190-M
Mumbai-based healthcare services provider PharmEasy has acquired Gurgaon-based online hospital supply chain management startup Aknamed in a largely stock deal worth about USD 180-190 million. Akanamed offers procurement solutions to over 1,200 hospitals, including Manipal Hospitals, Columbia Asia, and Narayana Health. Lightrock (part of the LGT Group), a common investor in both firms, will see its stake increase in API Holdings (the parent company of PharmEasy) as part of the deal.
