HR-focused agentic AI startup Sol raises $4-M led by General Catalyst, Nexus Ventures

Bengaluru-based agentic AI startup Sol has raised USD 4-M in a fundraising round led by General Catalyst and Nexus Venture Partners with participation from Z47's DeVC, Peercheque, and Kunal Shah.Founded by former Cred executives Anish Karan, Ranjith Nair, and Prateek Srivastava, Sol is building an assistant focused on proactive AI. The company, which is emerging from stealth, automatically identifies commitments made by users in e-mails and initiates the necessary tasks to fulfil them without requiring manual prompts or task assignments. Sol currently operates a pre-launch platform with over 100 users and plans to expand access.The company intends to use the new funds for research and development, including AI processing and computing costs, and to support team expansion and go-to-market efforts.
