HR tech co. Darwinbox attracts $140-M from Partners Group, KKR, others
Hyderabad-headquartered HR tech platform Darwinbox has attracted USD 140 million (around INR 1,218.1 crore) in a largely secondary round led by Partners Group and KKR at a reported USD 950 million valuation. The round also saw participation from Gravity Holdings. Early investors who entered during the seed and Series A round have made part exits as part of the new round.The relatively small primary component from the round will be used for the firm's R&D efforts and to ramp up global expansion.Founded in 2015 by Jayant Paleti, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Chaitanya Peddi, Darwinbox is a cloud-based HR platform that helps with recruitment, payroll, employee engagement, talent management, and people analytics. It has also expanded to Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Between Jul 2016 and Jan 2023, DarwinBox had attracted about USD 111 M from 3ONE4 Capital, Endiya Partners, StartupXseed Ventures, and other angel investors.For FY24, DarwinBox had reported about INR 333 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 192 Cr in Net Loss.
