India-themed collectibles seller Indic Inspirations in talks to raise Rs.5-Cr

Indic Inspirations, a Pune-based company that offers merchandise based on India-inspired themes, in talks to raise additional INR 5 crore in its pre-Series A funding round from angel networks and institutions. The firm had earlier raised INR 3.8 crore from angel investors, including professionals from Google, Goldman Sachs, Venture Finance Development Corporation, Citibank, a senior IT executive, and architecture-design and automobile industry entrepreneurs from India. Launched in December 2019, Indic Inspirations claims to work with over 400 artisans from 65 craft clusters across 14 states. It creates and sells collectables, souvenirs, and merchandise. The firm's range of products - priced between INR 250 and over INR 15,000 - includes Shunya (objects that narrate the stories of Zero), Time and Space (India's contributions in Mathematics, Astronomy, and Science), Indian classical dances, mudras, and navarasas.
