Info Edge to invest Rs.250-Cr in B8 Fund I
Publicly listed internet company Info Edge is to invest INR 250 crore in B8 Fund I, a newly launched alternative investment fund (AIF). The investment will be made through Smartweb Internet Services, a subsidiary of Info Edge, which will also act as the sponsor and investment manager for the fund and its schemes.B8 Fund I is a Category II AIF. Its primary objective is to generate long-term growth by backing growth-stage, technology-enabled companies. The fund has an eight-year life, with a possible extension of two years.
