Gurugram-based insurtech companies InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have announced a merger to create a unified insurance distribution platform. The combined entity will operate under the InsuranceDekho brand.Founded in 2015 by Ankit Agrawal, InsuranceDekho operates a digital insurance marketplace offering motor, health, life and commercial insurance products from multiple insurers.Founded in 2015 by Balachandar V and Indraneel Chatterjee, RenewBuy operates an agency-led digital insurance distribution platform connecting customers with insurance products through its advisor network.
Between Jan 2023 and Dec 2025, InsuranceDekho had attracted about USD 315 M from Avataar Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs, InvestCorp Group, LeapFrog, TVS Capital, Beams VC, MUFG Innovation Partners, and others.Between Nov 2015 and May 2025, RenewBuy had attracted about USD 190 M from Mount Nathan, 360 ONE, Amicus Capital, Lok Capital, Apis Partners, Evolvence, responsAbility, and others.For FY25, RenewBuy had reported about INR 0.26 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 101 Cr in Net loss.For FY25, InsuranceDekho had reported about INR 1,291 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 47 Cr in Net loss.
