Insurtech startup OneAssure raises Rs.5-Cr

Bengaluru-based insurtech start-up OneAssure has raised INR 5 crore in a pre-seed funding round from angel investors including Arun Venkatachalam of the Murugappa family, Dell Technologies' Asia and Japan President Amit Midha, Cloudnine Hospitals co-founder Rohit MA, and Dunzo co-founder Dalvir Suri. The list also includes Suryoday Microfinance co-founder Ganesh Rao, and International Finance Corp executive Santoshkumar Vasudevan. OneAssure was founded in October 2020 by Ruchir Kanakia and Shreyans Maini. The startup sells health insurance and other related services and the platform is functioning in beta mode. OneAssure received the direct broker licence from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in August 2021.
