Integrated township developer Sameera in talks to raise Rs.500-Cr

Chennai-based Sameera Group is in talks to raise INR 500 crore in growth capital to facilitate its pan-India expansion. The company recently raised a substantial amount of funding from a real estate credit platform jointly managed by Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC and BGO, with Cushman & Wakefield acting as the transaction advisor.Founded in 1982 by Senthil Velan, the company operates as a township developer focused on creating integrated ecosystems. Sameera has diverse business interests, including land bank generation, real estate and property development, warehousing, education, hospitality, transportation, wind energy generation, and insurance.The company intends to use the fresh capital to support its integrated township development plans.
