Inventus rebrands as Athera Venture Partners; launches Rs.900-Cr fourth fund

Bangalore-based venture capital firm Inventus India has rebranded as Athera Venture Partners and launched its fourth fund with a target corpus of INR 900 crore. The fund will invest in B2B and B2C technology-driven startups Athera aims to invest in about 18 new startups from the new fund including in sectors like Internet of Things (IoT), consumer internet, mobile, SaaS, enterprise software, fintech, Web3, and deep technology. The ticket size will be in the range of INR 5-45 crore and follow on rounds. Athera Venture has been investing in India since 2008 as part of a cross-border US-headquartered fund. Across the three funds, it has invested in 35 startups. To date, Athera has managed a total fund corpus of INR 863 crore. It was part of one IPO and six profitable exits and has an active portfolio of 23 companies.
