Japan's SoftBank sells 2.15% stake in scooter maker Ola Electric; trims holding to 15.7%

Japan's SoftBank Group has sold a total of 94.9 million shares (2.15% stake) in Bengaluru-based electric scooter maker Ola Electric in a series of transactions between July and September. Post-sale, SoftBank Group shareholding has decreased to 15.68% from 17.83%.

Between Feb 2019 and June 2024, Ola Electric had attracted about USD 1,065-M from 360 ONE, Alpha Wave Global, SoftBank Corp, Alpine Capital, Archerman Capital, Edelweiss Private Equity, Tekne Capital Management, Temasek, Tiger Global, Z47 and others.
