Japan’s Incubate Fund Asia aims at $60-M for fourth seed fund for early-stage cos
Tokyo-headquartered Incubate Fund Asia plans to launch its fourth India-focused seed fund with a corpus of USD 60 million. Concurrently, the firm is evaluating a second vehicle with Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, targeting a corpus equal to or slightly higher than its previous USD 200 million fund.Founded by Nao Murakami, Incubate Fund Asia is the Asia/India arm of the Incubate Fund group. Investing since 2016, the firm’s portfolio includes Captain Fresh, Yulu, ShopKirana, and Plum. The new funds are intended for continued investment in early-stage companies.
