Kae Capital closes Winners Fund II at $50-M to co-invest in portfolio startups
VC firm Kae Capital has closed its Winners Fund II (KWF II) by raising USD 50 million (INR 410 crore) to co-invest in its portfolio startups in their growth stage funding rounds. KWF II will co-invest with other VC funds in Series B, C, and D rounds of its existing portfolio startups. Investors in the new fund including Velo Partners, VM Thapar Family Office, KKR co-founder and co-executive chairman Henry Kravis, 360 ONE, HealthKart founder Sameer Maheshwari, Max Healthcare founder Abhay Soi, DSP Group founder Hemendra Kothari, and Tata 1mg's Prashant Tandon and Tanmay Saksena infused capital in the fund. Kae Capital, launched in 2012, has invested in 81 startups till date, including Porter, Zetwerk, Nazara, and Tata 1mg. KWF II, which has already invested in HealthKart, Wysa, Brightchamps, and Disprz, would also invest in other companies.
