Kedaara Capital makes final close of fourth fund at $1.73 B
Kedaara Capital has closed its USD 1.73 Billion fund, Kedaara IV, the largest fund raised by an India private equity fund. Around 85% of Kedaara’s new fund was raised from existing backers, including the three of the largest Canadian pension funds – CPPIB, CDPQ, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP, an existing investor).About 60% of the fund was raised from North American investors and the rest from European and Asian investors. Other returning investors from the fund’s third fund include German insurer Allianz and fund of funds HarbourVest and Asia Alternatives.Kedaara’s three previous funds raised USD 2.4 Billion between 2011 and 2021 which was invested in 27 Indian companies.
