KKR to raise $15-B in new Asia private equity fund
Global private equity investor KKR has commenced fundraising for its fifth Asia private equity fund, with a target to raise USD 15 Billion. The final fund size could potentially exceed the target, depending on the market response. The new fund will invest across consumer, life sciences, financial services, healthcare, and industrials.This follows the success of KKR's fourth Asia buyout fund in 2021, which also raised USD 15 Billion. Both the third and fourth Asia funds achieved gross internal rates of return exceeding 20%, with the fourth fund having returned 40% of its capital by the close of September.
