Kyro Capital launches Rs.100-Cr pre-IPO fund

Indore-based financial services firm Kyro Capital has launched the Kyro India Opportunities Fund - I, a Category II alternative investment fund (AIF) with a target corpus of INR 100 crore. The firm is currently in talks with high-net-worth individuals, promoters of companies it has previously advised, and European family offices for capital commitments. Kyro is targeting the first close by July 2026.The fund intends to invest in profitable Indian companies that are expected to list on public markets within 24 to 36 months. The firm is targeting an internal rate of return of 35% and maintains a planned tenure of five years, with an option to extend for an additional two years. The fund carries a hurdle rate of 10% per annum, and the minimum investment commitment for limited partners is INR 1 crore, with a sponsor commitment of INR 2.5 crore.Kyro Capital, founded in 2024 by Aman Maheshwari, focuses on providing investment banking and transaction advisory services. The firm plans to use the new fund to participate in primary investments as well as secondary transactions. The fund will focus on sectors such as manufacturing, defence supply chains, electrical equipment, energy storage, and the broader power ecosystem.
