L Catterton’s Anjana Sasidharan to launch consumer-focused VC fund

Anjana Sasidharan, a partner and co-head of India investments at L Catterton, has resigned from the private equity firm and plans to launch an early-stage consumer-focused venture capital fund.The fund is structured as a solo general partner (GP) vehicle. It is expected to have a corpus exceeding INR 200 crore. The investment strategy will target early-stage consumer brands, consistent with her previous experience in categories such as packaged goods, personal care, and pet care.Sasidharan joined L Catterton in February 2021, having previously spent nearly a decade at Sequoia Capital India. During her tenure, she led consumer investments in India and briefly served as head of India investments.
