Lab-grown diamonds seller Limelight onboards Shilpa Shetty as investor
Mumbai-based Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds has onboarded actor and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty as its strategic investor and brand ambassador. The fresh investment proceeds will be used by the firm for expanding its outlets to 100 by 2026.In February, the firm had raised USD 11 million (about INR 90 crore) to strengthen its design offerings, expand its retail presence, and support growth.Founded in 2019 by Pooja Sheth Madhavan, Limelight is a player in CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) diamonds, which are claimed to be ‘real’ diamonds grown in the labs by replicating the diamond creation process.
For FY24, Limelight had reported about INR 70 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 8 Cr in Net Loss.
