Lightspeed exits PhysicsWallah in Rs.550-Cr stake sale
Venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners has fully exited listed edtech company PhysicsWallah by selling 4.67 crore shares in a block and bulk deal transaction. The sale, executed through Lightspeed Opportunity Fund II, generated INR 549.7 Cr. The shares were offloaded at a weighted average price of INR.117.72 apiece on August 26.Founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, PhysicsWallah provides educational content and coaching for competitive examinations in India.
In Sep 2024, Lightspeed Ventures along with Orchid Asia, WestBridge and GSV Ventures had invested $210-M in PhysicsWallah.
