Local-dialect focused OTT platform Stage raises Rs.40-Cr led by Blume Ventures

Noida-based hyperlocal OTT platform Stage has raised INR 40 crore led by Blume Ventures with participation from NB Ventures, Dholakia Ventures, TSM Ventures, WeFounderCircle, Mumbai Angels, Tarmac Ventures, Tailwind Ventures, Longtail Ventures, Lets Ventures and AngelList. Existing investors who participated include Better Capital, IPV, TCA, and Venture Catalysts. Stage was founded in November 2019 by Vinay Singhal, Shashank Vaishnav, Parveen Singhal. The company previously raised INR 31 crore. Dialect-focused Stage started with Haryanavi content in 2019. It now claims to have 225,000+ subscribers, adding 25k+ subscribers per month. It produced many web series in Haryanvi including Akhada, Group-D, College Kaand, and Opri Parai. Stage also launched content in Rajasthani dialect in June 2022.
