Macquarie-owned renewable energy platform Blueleaf raises $75-M from BII
Bengaluru- and Singapore-based Macquarie-owned Blueleaf Energy has raised USD 75 million from British International Investment (BII) in a mix of equity, debt, and mezzanine financing.Founded in 2019, Blueleaf Energy develops, finances, owns and operates renewable and storage assets to accelerate the energy transition towards net zero. It currently operates across Southeast Asia, India, Taiwan, and Japan.The funding will be used by the company to support its expansion and investment in renewable energy assets across India, contributing nearly 2 gigawatts (GW) of installed clean energy capacity; the projects are expected to avoid around 3.1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
