Macquarie-promoted Blueleaf Energy buys into Jakson's 3 solar projects at $400-M valuation

Singapore-headquartered solar solutions provider Blueleaf Energy has acquired a significant stake in Noida-based Jakson Green 's 1 GW solar energy portfolio at an enterprise value of USD 400 million.Under the deal, Blueleaf will hold separate stakes in three solar projects in Rajasthan for which Jakson has secured power purchase agreements (PPAs) and acquired 70% of the land. Ernst & Young advised Jakson on the deal. The two firms are planning to expand the partnership to build another 4GW renewable portfolio in India by 2030.Jakson Green (majority controlled by Jakson Ltd) aims to build a 5 GW renewable generation portfolio and has a green EPC business across a few countries.
