Madison Capital exits Aptus Value Housing Finance by selling shares worth Rs.197-Cr; registers 4.1x

Madison Capita has sold its 1.61% stake in publicly-listed Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd attracting INR 197.31 crore. Assuming Madison Capital sold its remaining residual 0.25% stake at the same price, the firm would have completely exited its over 5-year-old investment with 4.1x return.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Jan 2010 and Sep 2019, Aptus raised over $190-M from Steadview Capital, WestBridge, Sequoia Capital India, India Financial Inclusion Fund, Lok Capital, Granite Hill, Madison Capital and others. The company went public in Aug 2021 at INR 353 per share.
