Matrimony platform The Wedding Company raises $2.8 M led by Wellingdon Advisors
Bengaluru-based The Wedding Company , a matrimony platform, has raised USD 2.8 million (about INR 23.4 crore) in a seed funding round led by Wellingdon Advisors. The round also saw participation from new investors Synergy Capital Partner, Vivek Mathur (ex-Elevation Capital) and Rahul Garg (ex-Premji Invest), along with existing investors LVX and Tremis Capital.Founded three years ago by Pawan Gupta, the firm provides an end-to-end online platform that manages the planning and execution of weddings, covering services such as venue booking, decor, catering, photography, and guest logistics. The firm plans to use the new funds to expand its vendor partner network, develop a category management function, and strengthen its wedding services catalogue.The company operates a network of over 30,000 wedding venues and 2,000 vendors across India, having executed more than 1,000 wedding ceremonies to date. It reported scaling service orders from INR 51 crore in FY25 to INR 115 crore in FY26.
In Jul 2025, The Wedding Company had attracted about $ 1 M from Tremis Capital and others.
