Kanpur- and San Francisco, CA (USA)-based memory infrastructure platform for AI agents Mem0 , has raised USD 24 million in a combined seed and Series A funding round, led by Basis Set Ventures, with participation from Peak XV Partners, Kindred Ventures, GitHub Fund, and Y Combinator. Strategic investors also include technology leaders Scott Belsky and Dharmesh Shah, alongside CEOs of infrastructure companies such as Olivier Pomel of Datadog, Paul Copplestone of Supabase, James Hawkins of PostHog, Thomas Dohmke, and Lukas Biewald of Weights & Biases.Founded in 2023 by Taranjeet Singh and Deshraj Yadav, Mem0 provides a production-ready memory layer designed for easy integration into applications. This platform allows AI agents to extract, store, and retrieve contextual information from user interactions, resolve conflicting facts, and apply confidence scoring to enhance personalisation and continuity in AI-driven workflows.Since its launch, Mem0 claims to have garnered significant attention, accumulating 41,000 GitHub stars and 14 million Python package downloads. The company intends to use the new capital to expand its engineering team, enhance its memory capabilities for complex enterprise applications, and forge partnerships with prominent AI platforms and frameworks.
