Metropolitan Stock Exchange raises Rs.1,000-Cr from Peak XV, others

Mumbai-headquartered Metropolitan Stock Exchange (MSE) has raised INR 1,000 crore through a second round of capital raising, which saw participation from Peak XV Ventures (via Peak XV Venture Partners Investments VII), Trust Investment Advisors, Pharma Ventures International LLP, and several brokers as well as investment firms.MSE’s latest fundraise follows the December 2024 round led by discount brokerages Zerodha and Groww, which had helped revive investor interest in the beleaguered exchange.MSE offers an electronic platform for trading in the capital market, futures & options, currency derivatives and debt market segments. It is also setting up a dedicated data centre to strengthen its market infrastructure.

Between Nov 2014 and Dec 2024, Metropolitan Stock Exchange had attracted about USD 42 M from Rainmatter Capital , Rare Enterprises and others.For FY24, Metropolitan Stock Exchange had reported about INR 7 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 49 Cr in Net loss.
