Mobile app for religious rituals Utsav raises $3.8 M led by Atomic Capital
Kolkata-based Utsav has raised USD 3.8 million (INR 36 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Atomic Capital. Existing investors India Quotient and Equanimity Investments also participated in the transaction.Founded in 2021 by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De and Prajata Samanta, Utsav is a spiritual and religious rituals platform. It collaborates with temple priests, scholars and acharyas to provide services such as puja bookings, pujari consultations, e-prasad and personalised rituals.The company plans to use the new funds to expand its temple network, strengthen technology and fulfilment capabilities, and scale its team.
Between Mar 2023 and Jan 2025, Utsav App had attracted about USD 0.95 M from Equanimity Investments, India Quotient and others.For FY25, Utsav App had reported about INR 2 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 3 Cr in Net Loss.
