Mobility-app Namma Yatri raises $11-M from Google, Blume, Antler, others
Moving Tech, the company behind Namma Yatri and other mobility apps, has raised USD 11 million (INR 92 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures and Antler, with participation from Google and other investors, at a USD 55 million valuation.Founded in November 2022 by Juspay (a payments company) in collaboration with the BECKN Foundation (founded by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani) and supported by the Bengaluru Auto Rickshaw Drivers’ Union (ARDU), Namma Yatri initially launched in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Tumakuru, and Kochi. The company subsequently expanded its reach to Kolkata under the name Yatri Saathi. Most recently, Namma Yatri entered the Chennai market.The new funding will be used to enhance technology, R&D, and product innovations to empower drivers, integrate public transport, and improve customer convenience.
