Money transfer platform for NRIs Frex raises Rs.9.5-Cr led by Zeropearl VC, White Venture Capital
Gurugram-based Frex has raised INR 9.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round, jointly led by Zeropearl VC and White Venture Capital with participation from angel investors Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Varun Khaitan, and Raghav Chandra of Urban Company; Pradeep Parameswaran (Uber), Kunal Shah (Cred), and Rishabh Goel (Credgenics).Frex aims to simplify international money transfers for immigrants and global workers. It offers instant and low-cost transfers with near real-time settlement and no fees.The company plans to use the capital to expand its on- and off-ramp infrastructure across North America and India, strengthen compliance and regulatory stack across key corridors, scale engineering and ledger systems to support high-volume transactions, and accelerate go-to-market efforts in non-resident Indian (NRI) and migrant worker communities.
