Mortgage lender LoanKuber raises $3.5-M in Series B from TRTL Ventures, others
Delhi-based Janasha Finance, which offers mortgage loans under the brand LoanKuber , has raised USD 3.5 million in a pre-Series B funding round in a mix of equity and debt, led by Singapore-based venture capital firm TRTL Ventures and existing investor Inflection Point Ventures, Auxano, LetsVenture, Mavuca Capital, and angel investors including Ruchi Deepak of Acko, Prashant Tandon of 1mg and Pankaj Vermani of Clovia. With this investment, the startup's post-investment valuation stands at USD 27 million.The new funds will be used to expand LoanKuber's assets under management (AUM) from the current INR 93 crore to INR 180 crore over the next 12 months. Additionally, the funds will be used to support the company's technological infrastructure and hire talent..Founded in 2017 by Saurabh Nagpal and Saumya Nagpal, LoanKuber offers mortgage loans for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and semi-skilled professionals, particularly in underserved regions, ranging from INR 3 lakh to INR 8 lakh.
Between June 2018 and Feb 2023, LoanKuber had raised funding from IP Ventures, LetsVenture, AngelList, Accolade Holdings, family offices, and angel investors including Prashant Tandon, Pankaj Vermani, and Vishal Gupta.
