Motilal Oswal Alternates launches Rs.3,000-Cr maiden private credit fund
Mumbai-based Motilal Oswal Alternates has launched its first private credit fund which aims to raise INR 3,000 crore, with an additional greenshoe option of INR 1,500 crore.The fund has a six-year tenure with a three-year deployment period. It plans to invest in 15-20 companies, with individual ticket sizes ranging from INR 250 crore to INR 500 crore. Targeted companies typically have an operating history of 10-15 years or more, are generally profitable, and possess a scale of USD 100-150 million and above.The fund seeks to generate risk-adjusted returns from straight debt yields and potential equity-linked gains. Its objective is to provide timely, flexible, and non-dilutive capital to mid- to large-sized corporates in sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, industries, supply chain, and healthcare.Motilal Oswal Alternates has raised over INR 23,000 crore across 11 private equity and real estate funds.
