MPL’s arm Blast invests $2-M in gaming studio XSQUADS
Bengaluru-based digital gaming firm MPL's publishing arm Blast has invested USD 2 million in Surat-based game development firm XSQUADS at USD 10 million valuation.Founded by Jemesh Lakhani, XSQUADS offers immersive mobile shooting games such as ScarFall 2.0 - an India-centered battle royale game with realistic maps inspired by real-life locations from Mumbai and Andaman Nicobar Islands.MPL has acquired four startups - Good Game Exchange, GameDuell, GamingMonk and Crevise Technologies - in the past five years.
