Music licensing platform Hoopr raises Rs.4-Cr led by IPV
Mumbai-based music licensing platform Hoopr has raised INR 4 crore in its pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from family offices and existing investors. The round valued the firm at INR 160 crore post-money.Founded in 2021 by Gaurav Dagaonkar and Meghna Mittal, Hoopr operates as a music licensing marketplace offering over 12,000 copyright-free music tracks and sound effects for content creators and brands. The platform also provides revenue-generating opportunities for musicians by sharing half of the licensing fees after upfront costs.The new funds will be used to accelerate the expansion of Hoopr Smash, enhance product innovation, scale talent, and support global expansion initiatives.
Between Feb 2022 and Dec 2023, Hoopr had attracted about USD 2 M from Beacon India, Z Nation Lab, Capier Investments, Dholakia Ventures and others.
