Music streaming platform Damroo raises Rs.5-Cr from Hindustan Times
Mumbai-based Damroo has raised Rs.5-Cr in a strategic investment from Hindustan Times.Founded in 2021 by Ram Mishra, Damroo operates an artist-first platform providing music streaming, distribution, publishing, and creator growth services. The platform supports independent and regional musicians by offering services such as digital music distribution, YouTube growth management, artist marketing, and royalty collection assistance.The startup plans to use the new funds to improve its technology infrastructure, expand artist partnerships, strengthen regional music discovery, and grow its content catalogue, while also building new monetisation and fan engagement opportunities for artists.
