NBFC Vivriti Capital raises $55-M

Chennai-based NBFC Vivriti Capital has raised USD 55 million (about INR 400 crore) in a Series C funding round from its existing investors, Lightrock India and Creation Investments. The firm intends to use the funds for business expansion, developing the technology, acquisitions, product delivery and portfolio management. Part of the funds will go to its subsidiary, Vivriti Asset Management, to build a global asset management platform focused on performing credits. The technology-enabled mid-market debt lender plans to achieve assets of more than USD5 billion over the next four to five years from the $700 million assets under management currently.
