NIIF appoints Gauravjit Singh to head fund raising

The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) has appointed Gauravjit Singh as managing partner and global head of capital formation. Singh will focus on expanding the firm’s domestic and global investor base as the fund increases its capital mobilization efforts.Gauravjit Singh brings two decades of experience in raising institutional capital across global, India-focused, and pan-Asian alternative investment strategies. He previously served as the head of investor relations and fundraising for the private equity division of PAG in Singapore, where he was a member of the firm’s investment and exit committees. His career also includes roles at private equity firms True North and KKR, as well as an initial tenure in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.NIIF has mobilized USD 3 billion in new equity capital commitments over the past 24 months. The firm recently announced the first close of its Infrastructure Fund II at INR 19,000 crore and is currently fundraising for its Private Markets Fund II, which has a target size of USD 1 billion.
