Non-bank lender Protium in talks to acquire NBFC Clix Capital for Rs.2,200-Cr
Mumbai-based non-bank lender Protium Finance is in exclusive negotiations to acquire Noida-based non-banking financial company (NBFC) Clix Capital . The transaction is expected to be valued between INR 1,900-Cr and Rs 2,200-Cr, representing approximately 1.2 to 1.5 times the book value of Clix. The deal is expected to be finalized in August.Protium plans to use the acquisition to add scale, enter new product lines, and expand its market reach. As of September 2025, the firm operated 123 branches across 16 states with total assets under management of INR 8,675 Cr.Clix Capital was set up in 2016 by former GE executive Pramod Bhasin and Anil Chawla after they bought out GE Finance with backing from Aion Capital Partners.The completion of this deal would allow Aion Capital Partners, a joint venture between Apollo Global Management and ICICI Bank, to exit Clix (which was the final investment from its maiden USD 825-M fund). Clix Capital currently maintains consolidated assets under management of INR 7,675 Cr.
