Novo Holdings, an investment firm, has acquired a 49% stake in Maharashtra-based Surya Hospitals . The transaction is valued at about INR 1,000-1,200 crore, with the stake purchased from SCP Investments. JM Financial acted as the advisor on the deal.Founded in 1985 by medical practitioner Bhupendra Avasthi, Surya Hospitals is a paediatric hospital chain with facilities in Mumbai, Pune, and Jaipur.
