Nutrition supplements brand TruNativ raises $30-M led by OrbiMed

Mumbai-based D2C (direct-to-consumer) nutrition brand TruNativ has raised USD 30 million in a Series B round led by healthcare focused investor OrbiMed. The transaction included both primary and secondary share sales, with participation from existing investors including 100Unicorns, Rainmatter and Venture Catalysts.Following the investment, FMCG firm Emami’s stake in the company has diluted from 19% to 10%.Founded in 2019 by Mamta Malhotra, Pranav Malhotra, and Eeshaan Merchant, TruNativ offers household nutrition products such as everyday cooking protein, fibre sachets, and natural sweeteners.The company plans to use the new primary capital to increase its offline retail presence in Tier I and II cities through partnerships with supermarket chains. The firm also intends to expand into the HORECA and D2C segments and launch an innovation centre, "The Good Lab", in Mumbai, to enhance R&D for its portfolio.

Between Mar 2022 and Jul 2024, TruNativ had attracted about $3-M from Rainmatter Capital, Stride Ventures, Z Nation Lab and others.
