Ola's EV arm to raise $53-M from Paytm founder Sharma, actor Farhan Akhtar, others
Bengaluru-based Ola Electric, the electric vehicle manufacturing arm of ride hailer Ola, is to raise $53million by allotting 371 Series C compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS) to Temasek, IIFL, Edelweiss, angel investor Rahul Ravindra Raj Mehta and others. Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma is infusing INR 75 crore in Ola Electric through VSS Investco. Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar has invested INR 21 crore, his sister Zoya Akhtar has invested 10.7 crore, and Farhan's business partner Ritesh Sidhwani has pumped INR 21.4 crore.
