Oncology-focused Immuneel Therapeutics raises Rs.100-Cr led by Singularity AMC, Rainmatter
Bengaluru-based biotech startup Immuneel Therapeutics has raised INR 100 crore in a Series B round led by Singularity AMC and Rainmatter by Zerodha, with participation from existing investors Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, F-Prime Capital, and various high-net-worth individuals (HNIs).Founded in 2018 by Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Kush M Parmar, and Siddhartha Mukherjee, Immuneel Therapeutics provides cell and gene therapies, such as chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy, to treat cancer.The new funds will be used to scale its GMP manufacturing capacity, advance its next-generation deep tech cell and gene therapy pipeline, and expand its geographical footprint across the Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions. A portion of the funds is designated for the commercialisation of Qartemi, the firm's approved CAR-T therapy for non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Between Jan 2020 and Jun 2024, Immuneel Therapeutics had attracted about $39-M from Eight Roads Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Kotak Alternate, TrueNorth and others.For FY25, Immuneel Therapeutics had reported about INR 4.2 crore in Operating Income and about INR 40 crore in Net Loss.
